The Season of Giving

Tuesday, November 28, 2017

With December nearly here, IBEW 1249 is once again taking part in the Toys for Tots. This program, put on by the United States Marine Corps, collects thousands of presents every year to give to children in need. As union members, we are taught to always have each others back both on the job site and in life. Thanks to our union, many of us do not have to worry about making sure there is a gift under the tree for our children. There is nothing better then the smile of a child as they open their presents. With your donation, we can spread that holiday cheer to some of our less fortunate neighbors. As you will see below, we must collect all gifts by December 11. Local 1249 has set up a few easy ways to donate. You can drop off your gift at a Toys for Tots box at the hall and the training center. Union reps will also be coming around over the next few weeks to collect toys out in the field. Another great opportunity to donate is this Friday at 1249's general membership meeting. Below I have provided details on the meeting. Of course, the meeting is open to all members, but this is a great time to bring a gift and help a child in need.
