Keep up the good work

We had a great turn out for our annual Clambake on Saturday August 6th.  A big CONGRATULATIONS to James Kennedy, retired Local 1249 Journeyman Treeman, the winner of the 2016 Polaris Ranger and Trailer. James bought the winning ticket at the bake!

I know Dan Pollock is going to touch on the incredible job our 1249 Brothers did in Rochester when one of our members collapsed in a manhole. The fact that they knew exactly what to do is a testament to the training and skill set our members have and because of this they saved his life. Well done Brothers, we are very proud of you!

The work picture is still slow for 1249's jurisdiction but our sister Locals seem to be doing ok. We also have a few members working for Inside Locals. At the end of September we will be meeting with National Grid on projected work load and other issues that effect our members. Also storm season is upon us and Dennis could be trying to get a hold of you for storm calls and it could be anytime, day or night. Many of the calls vary and with the Utility's response time request, our contractors are telling us that men must be there at a certain time. This makes it very difficult to fill the request because our members live all over the state. With that being said, Dennis sometimes can only call the men that can make it within a certain time period. Enjoy the rest of the summer and be safe!
