On Monday we celebrate Labor Day, a holiday to honor the men and women who go to work each and every day to make our country run. If the last year has taught us anything, it is that the essential workers are not the corporate CEO's or the billionaires, but rather the men and women who show up every day and put in an honest days work for an honest days pay. It is the supermarket workers and the nurses, the linemen and the people maintaining our internet networks that helped us get through the last 18 months.
To accommodate the Labor Day holiday, The September Union Meeting has been rescheduled to Friday, September 10th at 8:00pm.
Please also remember that the Clambake will be held on Saturday, September 11 from 1-6 PM.
Finally, to all of our members who will be unable to attend these events because they will be assisting with storm restoration in the Gulf, please be safe and remember to always be your brothers keeper.
Thank you for the great work that you do and I hope that everyone is able to enjoy a Happy and Healthy Labor Day Weekend, you have earned it.
