Christmas, Hanukkah and the New Year are finally here. Snow is falling and everyone in the office is getting into the holiday spirit, just check out the picture below. I am proud to say that our members have really gotten the point of the holiday season, giving. Below I have included a picture from the Toys for Tots drive. Thanks to your generosity, we have collected more toys then ever before. Thanks to you many kids in need will continue to believe in Santa and be able to celebrate with a toy under their tree.
Other members are making an even bigger sacrifice this holiday season. We still have many members that are working in the Caribbean islands to restore power and will be away from their families this holiday season. These members are showing the true IBEW spirit by working hard until the job is completed and helping their fellow man. We applaud your hard work and look forward to seeing all of you when you come back. I also encourage everyone to remember our loved ones that will not be with us this holiday season as they work to protect our families overseas. Thanks to their thankless efforts our country continues to be safe and we are able to celebrate the holidays with joy not fear.
I want to once again wish everyone a Happy and safe Holiday. As 2017 ends, I am proud to be the Business Manager of such a great IBEW Local.
