Ernest Beckwith, 92, passed away on Tuesday (August 1, 2017) at Huntington Living Center with his loving family by his side.

Friends and family are invited to call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday (August 4) at Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. A graveside service with full military honors and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday (August 7) in Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Romulus.

Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
Ernest was born on March 10, 1925 in Spencer, NY, the son of the late Raymond and Florence (Crandall) Beckwith. Ernest served our country in the United States Marine Corp from January 1943 to March 1946. He was a lineman with Union Local 1249, retiring in 2009. He was a member of the Waterloo American Legion Warner-VanRiper Post 435, Waterloo VFW Post 6433 and the Union Local 1249 Active Retiree Club. He enjoyed fishing on his boat, hunting, tinkering around in his workshop and garage, watching dirt track racing, listening to country music and being with his grandchildren.

Ernest is survived by his daughters Bonnie (Paul) Hoyt of North East, Pa., and Debra Jones of Romulus; his sons Theodore (Amy) Beckwith of Ovid and Charles (Shari) Beckwith of Geneva; his grandchildren Sam and Casey Beckwith, Matthew (Holly), Gabrielle and Joshua Jones, Charles Beckwith Jr., Paula, Kimberly and Patrick; his great-grandson, Tyler Jones and 15 additional great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (Auchman) Beckwith in 2014; and his brother, Theodore Beckwith.
