Safety Training Benefits
For eligible members.
 
Work Boots:
Must be safety toe and EH rated.  This must be indicated on the receipt.  Submit your receipt to Safety Training and we will reimburse you ½ of the cost of the boot up to $150.  This is a once per year benefit regardless of cost.  The date of purchase is the year counted not delivery or shipping date. 
 
For example:
If you purchased a $280 pair of boots, we will pay you back $140.
If you purchased a $120 pair of boots, we will pay you back $60.
 
Prescription Safety glasses:
They have to meet Z87 standards and indicated on the receipt.  That means they must be actually stamped on the lens and the frame to meet the standard.  Submit the receipt to Safety Training and we will reimburse you for the cost up to $225 dollars.  This is a once per year benefit regardless of cost. The date on the receipt is the year that counts.
 
CDL A driver’s license:
We will pay for you to get your CDL A license through a school we are partnered with.  All you need to do is obtain your a permit and send us a copy.  This is a 3 day class in Latham, NY.  We will pay for the class and pay for a reasonable hotel with receipt along with $75 a day per-diem.  We will not pay wages or benefits.  Only downside is that we don’t get to schedule the class dates, so it could be a Thursday, Friday and Monday schedule.  We don’t ever know. 
 
DOT physicals:
We pay for your DOT physicals.  We have arrangements made with a variety of providers around the jurisdiction that are set up with the information they need.  If you need to find one please call Safety Training and we will find you one.  You’re responsible to schedule your appointment.  If you choose to use your own doctor, we will reimburse you up to $125.  All you do is submit your receipt and a copy of the physical.  We cannot reimburse you until we have a copy of the physical.
 
 
FR Clothing:
Each year we get a $700 allowance to purchase FR clothing.  Go to tyndaleusa.com.  Click on the login to manage account.  You will have a prompt to enter your username and password. This is a use it or lose it allowance and does not roll over to the next year.   If you go over the $700 on your order, you will have the ability to process the transaction by paying with a credit card.
